Vintage meerschaum, half bent pipe, depicting a head of a bearded man wearing a hat or a turban with tassels. The tapered stem is yellowish green with an oval shank. The carving in the meerschaum is very detailed. The bowl shows use. Meerschaum means sea foam in German, which describes this natural substance very well as it very light and originally, before use, white. The pipe case is leather covered inside and out and might not be the original case for this pipe. Overall condition is very good, no chips or cracks. Overall length 15 cm
