Keratometer made by Carl Zeiss Jena. The Keratometer is a tube with a lens at one end and a millimeter ruler at the other for measuring corneal and iris sizes. The examiner places the lens side to his eye and the other to the patient’s. By looking at the ruler the examiner can tell the size of the cornea or iris. Karl Wesseley was a professor of medicine in Germany he was born in1874 in Berlin and died in 1953. This keratometer comes in its original leather covered fitted box with dark blue velvet lining
