Prutah of Herod Archelaus. Years 4 BCE to 6 CE. This coin was minted by Herod Archelaus, oldest son of Herod the Great, in Jerusalem. Obverse side: Bunch of grapes on vine with the Greek inscription (Hordus) surrounded by dots. Reverse side: Tall helmet with crest and cheek straps, Greek inscription: (of Ethnarch, - the title 'Ethnarch of Judea' was given to Herod by Emperor Augustus) Reference: Hendin 505.
