Twin Set Of Miniature Sun Dial + Compass, And Damp Detector. The body of both instruments is made of hard plastic with threaded lid, 3 cm (1 ½ inch) in diameter. The Horizontal Sun Dial and Magnetic Compass consists of a dry compass dial card with centrally located brass gnomon. The card is mounted on a sharp pivot at the center of the case so as to permit the card to rotate freely in the horizontal plane. The dial card includes a printed scale in Roman numeral indicating the sun time from 4 am to 8 pm. The dump detector consists of a printed card and a hair mechanism that moves a hand dial. The card is divided into dry and moist regions with graduations in percent moisture. |
