A 10 Inch Brass-Back Dovetail Saw Made by W. Tyzack Sons & Turner. This brass back dovetail saw has 14 tpi (teeth per inch) and a beautiful fishtail shape open wood-handle, attached with brass screws. On the brass back, the following are imprinted: Sheffield W. Tyzack Sons & Turner, cast steel ‘Old O’ trademark. The Tyzack Company has been making saws since 1812. In 1875, they joined forces with Turner and in 1897; they purchased the S. Linley Company with their ‘Old O’ trademark. |
