A Mahogany Stair Builders Saw with 6 inch Blade. This unmarked saw is very reminiscent of the Disston No. 6 Stair Builders' Saw. This saw was used for trenching out stringers, making slots in stair treads or risers, cutting dadoes, etc. The removable blade may be raised or lowered to cut any depth up to an inch. The name 'W. JAMSON' is incribed several times on this saw. Overall length is 28.5 cm (11.2 inches). |
