A cast Iron Blue Anvil by Record of Sheffield. This is a small (5.6 cm , 2.2 inch) anvil weighing 620 gr. (1.4 pounds). It is inscribed ‘Record 100 Years’, on one side and ‘Sheffield England’ on the other. C & J Hampton founded the Record tool company in Sheffield in 1898. During the Great Depression Record bought out the Preston tool company. Today Record Tools Ltd. Is a division of American Tool Companies inc. |
