The ‘Lamb Lamp’ Blow Lamp made in 1914 by John Shaw & Sons, England. This is the No. 1 blowlamp produced by ‘J. S. & S.’ (John Shaw & Sons) in Wolverhampton, just after the Shaw Company acquired the Lamb Stove & Tool Company in 1914. The dome shaped fuel container 6 cm (2.5 inch) in diameter is made of brass with a wicker wrapped steel handle and marked ‘Lamb Lamp No.1’. The J. S. & S. Company, started by John Shaw in 1795 and their famous logo is stamped on the lamp. |
