Chinese opium pipe. Made during the 1920’s. The stem is of bamboo, 40 cm long. The body and mouthpiece portions are decorated with brass bronze and chrome plated parts, reinforced with a brass bands. The small bowl is elevated from the body and is made to accept a small ball of opium tobacco to last one or two puffs. |
