An Ulm Meisterpfeife pipe. Also called a 'knife pipe' because of its exceptionally thin shape. The bowl is cylindrical, the base of the bowl and the bit are shaped from a ram's horn. The pipe was designed in the second half of the 18th century in Ulm in south Germany. Its production was stopped at the end of the 19th century. |
