An Early Engineer Surveying Level By W.F. Stanley. This is a special surveyor’s level made to order with 4-screw adjustment to base-plate and fittings for tacheometric reading. The 25.5 cm (10 inch) telescope is made with an internal rack & pinion focusing system with shading lens cap. A spirit bubble level fully graduated. The instrument is signed on the body ‘Stanley, Great Turnstile, Holborn, London. H7416.’ The original case holds a trade label for W.F. Stanley on the inside of the case lid, and an adjustment label dated 12/6/1929. The level is complete and in excellent working order. |
