It is enclosed in purple felt and satin lined black case comprising of a set of 12 lenses, table clamp and fixing screws, telescoping system with 3 drawtubes and rack-and-pinion for fine adjustment and focusing. A triangular crystal prism with a single coated surface mounted on an adjustable lens holder. Case dimension: 30 X 6.5 cm (12 X 2 ˝ inches). The instrument is signed by ‘Holbein’ as ‘Patent no. 580738 Made in Japan’. Comes with original instructions page in both English and Spanish. The instructions guide you on how to copy, enlarge, reduce and create reversed drawings. Holbein is a Japanese company with head offices in Osaka. It was established in 1900 and took the name of the German artist Hans Holbein in 1946. This company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of professional art materials. The artist Hans Holbein (1497 - 1543) made many drawings for portraits and those of the court ladies are among the masterpieces of portrait drawing.
