Brass Parallel Rolling Rule In Original Fitted Mahogany Box by Hall Harding Ltd. This little used rolling rule with bevel edges was used as navigation equipment for large sea charts. Made of solid brass with rollers that allow it to track parallel lines of position over a chart. Measures 46 cm (18 ¼ inch) long and 7 cm (2 ¾ inch) wide. Hall Harding Ltd was a London-based manufacturer and supplier of drawing-office equipment. |
