A Military Aneroid Barometer and Altimeter. This is a large brass instrument 7 cm (2 ¾ inch) in diameter with silvered dial and blued steel hand. This special model was made for the British army and signed by T.A.R.S and W Ltd. in London with the serial number B5862. The range of barometric pressure scale is from 21 to 31 inches of mercury and an altimeter scale on the bezel in feet from 0 to 10,000. |
