Set of drawing instruments made by Negretti & Zambra London, with ivory handles and German silver compasses, dividers, lengthening bar, bow pen, bow pencil, plain drawing pen, protractor, rule etc. All fitted in a double draw mahogany case. Henry Negretti and Joseph Zambra were eminent opticians and Scientific Instrument Makers to Her Majesty the Queen Victoria, working at Holborn Viaduct, 45 Cornhill and 122 Regent Street in London during the second half of the 19th century. |
