A 19th Century English Pocket Money Scales. This is a brass self-raising steelyard type pocket coin balance in its original mahogany case. The scale with two positions swing-over weight for the guinea and it’s half. The coin is placed on the folding H shaped hanger. The box, with an original instruction label, requires adjusting the lid to raise the scales. |
