German Rocker Balance. This rare brass see-saw balance is called in German 'Sicherheitswaage' and was used to test gold coins of 10 and 20 Marks (minted in 1906 – 1907) for wear, and to detect counterfeit coins. It is made by PH.J.M. in Germany with slot gauges to check the width of the two gold coins and side stops to check the diameter. |
