Guinea pocket scale in an unusually wide wooden box made in England probably 19th century. This is a self-raising steelyard type balance with a two positions swing-over weight for the guinea and its half. A small sliding weight is used for penny deficiencies. Part of the original label is glued to the bottom. The scale had been repaired. |
