Analytical Stainless Steel Apothecary Beam Balance Scale. These scales were built with meticulous machined stainless steel parts. It consists of a 20 cm (8 inch) equal arm beam with edged steel hinges. The suspension frame is designed with a heavy plummet and ivory background to the indicator. The main pole screws into a brass plate on the lid of the heavy boxwood case. The whole is mounted on the main upright pole with adjustable elevating system that puts the pans in a weighing position via a string. A recess in the case contains 10 different apothecary weights.
