A Late 19th Century Hand-Held Suspension Apothecary Scales by W&T. Avery. The 15 cm (6-inch) beam, with boxed terminals, and ornate indicator are made of cast iron together with brass panes. This balance is enclosed in its original fitted mahogany box together with 13 weights (Drams, Scruples, Grains). On the inside lid is a label of W&T. Avery Birmingham.
