Mids. The whole is mounted on a circular section upright with three low cabriole legs which key into brass plates in the lid of the mahogany case. A drawer below the case containing a glass bucket, a glass plummet (bulb), a set of glass pans of different weights, a set of square grain weights, fractional weights, and two brass weights entitled Bucket in Water (for measuring S.G. of solids) and Bulb in Water (for measuring S.G. of liquids). The case 34 X 18 cm (13 ½ X 7 ¼ inch). Complete, exceptional and rare item. |
