Victorian Postal Scales. This is a brass balance fixed to a mahogany wood base, with oval pan for goods and round pan for weights. This balance is an improved model that was built by 'William Mitchel' on the Roberval principle which employs double upper and single lower crossbeams. Complete with a set of marked and verified postal circular weights of 8 OZ, 4 OZ and 2 OZ. |
