Ornate Postal Scales in brass made by S. Mordan and Co. England. This balance was built on the Roberval principle which employs upper and lower crossbeams. The maker's trade Mark is inscribed on the upper cross beam. The postal rates inscribes on the rectangular plate were in use around 1865. Complete with a set of 4 flat circular weights 6, 4, 2, 1 oz. |
