Early 1940's Parker 51 Vacumatic Pen with 16k Gold Filled Cap Fitted and a Blue Diamond Clip. This exceptional pen was fitted with a custom made cap hand engraved with floral design by the artist Mauricio Faivich of Argentina. The cap retains its original engravings under the clip '1/10 16K Gold Filled. Made in the USA'. The clip with Blue Diamond and trade name 'Parker' spelled vertically down the clip .The pen barrel, hood and filler cap are all made of cedar blue Lucite. The F gold nib and plastic plunger are in good condition. The 'Blue Diamond' is clear and has no traces of the blue enamel. This is probably a rare type pen which shows that Parker actually sold 51's with a clear diamond that may have had a non-lifetime warranty. |
