Pair of Bloodletting Lancets by Colhouse. Two 5.5 cm long (2.2 inches) steel lancets. The double edged blades are pivoted between tortoise shell handles. Both blades are marked 'W. Colhouse' The lancet would be propped on the tortoiseshell handles above a vein. A sharp tap on its top would pierce the skin and the vein thus letting the blood. The lancets come in their original dark red, cardboard case. |
