A rare and small Dr. Liebreich ophthalmoscope from 1855. Dr. Liebreich’s famous device has a reute’s concave perforated mirror and a metal coccius lens clip. The box includes five different lenses to correct the examiner’s refraction during direct ophthalmoscopic examination. In addition there are two large convex lenses for an indirect examination. These lenses are held close to the person being examined, while the device is held close to the examiner’s eye. The device comes in its original box. |
