A map of 'Eretz Israel' in Yiddish by David Ben Gurion and Ytzchak Ben Zvi published by the 'Poalei Zion Palestine Committee', New York, 1918. This is a print of the rare first ever made map in Yiddish by Ben Gurion and Ben Zvi published in New York in 1918. The map size is 41.0X29.0 cm. It is based on the most detailed Hebrew map of E. Sapir and A. Krause from 1914 with additional updated features. Mainly train routes, roads, new Jewish and Arab settlements, inhabited areas as well as wilderness. The importance of the map is, that it was created at the beginning era of the British mandate over Palestine, and as such it documents the reality of that period. |
