A Corniche guilt-brass striking Carriage Repeater Clock circa 1890. This carriage clock is enclosed by four pieces of beveled glasses and an oval glass as the top window, from which the balance wheel can be seen. The dial is white enamel with black Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The subsidiary dial for the alarm is below 6 o’clock. The alarm sounds on the hour gong using a separate hammer. There is a repeat button on the top of the case: when the button is pressed, the clock repeats the last hour struck. Height - 13 cm, Width 8 cm, Depth - 7.5 cm. Complete with winding key. In very good working condition. |
