Brass Skeleton Clock made by F.W. Elliott of London. Thick gold-plated plates modeling a cathedral. Large silvered dial with black Roman numerals and nice hands. This clock has a month-going cable Fusee movement with anchor escapement. It stands on a wooden base with 3 brass leveling screws and covered with a glass dome 35 cm high. Fusee mechanism involves a conical spirally grooved pulley from which a cord unwinds onto a barrel containing the spring and which by its increasing diameter compensates for the lessening power of the spring.
