A superb delicate lady's English cane from the turn of the century with a silver handle on its beautiful narrow stepped partridge shaft and brass ferrule. This cane from the reign period of George V is mounted with a silver handle. This 4' wide and 3 1/2' high Fritz or Opera style handle is, from a great master silversmith ('JB'), hand chased and engraved with generous baroque decorations and bears the hallmarks: London, 1908. The handle can be seen as an outstanding example of the English taste around 1900. The shaft material is Partridge with small steps (approx. 1.5 cm) carved along its entire length. The Ferrule is made of Brass. Remarks: The cane is in perfect original condition and is a masterpiece of its kind. Estimated Value is $400 - $700.
