An Exceptional Set of Pewter Measures with Brass Rim. This is a rare set of Victorian liquid bellied lidless measures denominated for ½ Pint, 1 Gill, ½ Gill and ¼ Gill and engraved with the owner name ‘E.L. Bromley’. The set is marked and verified on the brass rim. Verification and touch marks include: A Victorian standard numbered stamp of a royal crown over cipher ER 2 (London City). The ¼ Gill is marked VR39.
