This early Sievert blowlamp has a spherical fuel tank. The Adjusting knob is turned wood and the handle is covered with cane, attesting to its relative earliness. The nozzle, tank, adjusting knob screw-nut, and filler cap are signed either Max Sievert or Max Sievert Stockholm. The company was founded in 1882 by Max Sievert (b. 1849 Germany). In 1881 he decided to establish himself in Sweden. In 1883 Max Sievert bought the first blowlamps from C. R. Nyberg, the inventor who started this production the year before.
