Pressed Glass Inkwell with Brass Circular Tray.

The glass inkwell is beautifully decorated in a continuous motif. The lid is brass and fits snuggly to the inkwell. It is embossed with a floral decoration that is clear and has not been eroded at all. The inkwell screws into the brass tray, which appears to have been silver plated. The shallow tray- base is decorated all around with a Prince of Wales Feathers type decoration and a beaded border. The glass lip of the inkwell has a couple of splinters below the lid, but these do not affect how the lid fits. 6.5 cm ( 2.5") tall x approx 11.5 cm (4.5") in diameter (the tray).
