Brass Skeleton Clock made by F.W. Elliott of London - click to enlarge.

This clock is made from thick gold-plated plates modeling a cathedral. It has a large silvered dial with black Roman numerals and elegant hands. This clock has a month-going cable Fusee movement with anchor escapement. It stands on a wooden base with 3 brass leveling screws and covered with a glass dome 35 cm high. Fusee mechanism involves a conical spirally grooved pulley from which a cord unwinds onto a barrel containing the spring and which by its increasing diameter compensates for the lessening power of the spring. Elliott, F. W. Ltd - A major UK clock making company, which traded between 1923 and 1998, when they finally closed. Note that there is no serial number or date chart available for Elliott clocks.
